Childcare Brokerage Service

Childcare Brokerage Service for Families with Children with a Disability

We work very closely with parents and carers to help them find childcare for children with a disability through the Brokerage Service.  View a leaflet about the service here.

The service is free, impartial and confidential. It is tailored to the needs of the parent/carer and child and we also work very closely with other professionals who may be working with a family.

● It is tailored to meet individual families’ needs

● It will help parents to access services more easily.

How can you access the service?
You can contact us by phone or email, or someone close to you could contact us on your behalf, if you prefer.

Who delivers the service?
The service is provided by the Brokerage Officer who is skilled in working with both families and other professionals and will help you to identify suitable care for your child.

Can you meet the Brokerage Officer face to face?
Yes, if you feel that it would be helpful, the Brokerage Officer can meet you in a suitable location.  In this case you will be given an appointment time.
We ask that clients are prompt and that they inform us if they are unable to make the meeting.
Whilst we make every effort to keep every appointment, we will always notify clients if for any reason we are unable to keep the appointment and will rearrange for another time.
The Cambridgeshire Childminding Respite Scheme (CCRS) is a referral service for children and/or their families with additional needs or in times of crisis. Cambridgeshire Social Care and the National Childminding Association (NCMA) work in partnership to provide this service.
