Additional assistance
Sometimes finding the right childcare provider requires some additional assistance such as
-
Exploring the funding available for covering childcare costs such as tax credits. We can do this in some detail if you contact us direct;
-
Searching for childcare providers in a wider area than originally agreed;
-
Identifying suitable childcare for children who have a special need or a disability;
-
Contacting childcare providers on a parent's behalf to identify those with vacancies that would suit your child;
-
Brokering arrangements between the parent and the provider and between a number of providers to put together a package of childcare if this is required;
-
Arranging unaccompanied visits to a childcare provider;
-
Helping to identify childcare where the timings are unusual, such as for shift work;
-
Helping clients to better undertand the information provided, how the system works and what to expect;
-
Helping clients who may be relocating to plan ahead and identify suitable childcare in advance of the move;
-
Assisting people who are returning to work to be aware of entitlements, options and how the system works;
-
Ensuring, where applicable, that parents are aware of their child's entitlement to free places for 2, 3, and 4 year-olds and helping to identify those providers who offer such places.
We encourage all parents and carers to contact us to discuss your and your child's needs.
We can also provide additional assistance to parents and carers of children who have a disability in Cambridgeshire. View details here.
